They’re tiny — but germs cause big problems for people with CF.

Germs vary a lot. Some are common, some are rare. They’re spread by contact, through the air or in droplets (think the dreaded subway sneezer).

You can’t totally avoid contact with germs. But you can lessen your contact and limit your risk for lung infections. Washing your hands, steering clear of careless coughers, cleaning your equipment on a regular basis — these are just a few strategies to consider.
