Each year, over 6,000 enthusiastic music lovers enjoy this unique event featuring the legends of Louisiana swamp pop and South Louisiana music. The Swamp Pop Music festival is held indoors in the air-conditioned Trade Mart Building. Rain or shine come and join the fun! For the uninitiated, "swamp pop" is a blend of rhythm and blues, hillbilly, Cajun, and Creole music that originated in the 1950's. Louisiana's teenagers began exchanging their fiddles, accordions, and steel guitars for saxophones, pianos, and electric guitars after hearing their new rock and roll idols on the radio. The result was Cajun music with a more "rocking" flair. Its popularity remains constant in Louisiana. All proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL! Absolutely NO cancellations, refunds, or exchanges. Customer assumes all weather risks, as there will be NO refunds for inclement weather, acts of Nature or other events that disrupt play. All tickets purchased through us should be considered as "rain-or-shine" final purchases. Online orders must be picked up at Will-Call at the festival. Tickets may only be picked up by purchaser and purchaser must present a photo ID.

Important note on attendance for people with CF and their families:
The health and well-being of people with cystic fibrosis is our top priority. Medical evidence shows that certain bacteria can be passed between individuals who have CF and can lead to worse symptoms and speed decline in lung function. To limit the serious risk of cross-infection between people with CF, only one person with CF may be invited to attend the indoor portion of each CF Foundation-sponsored event.  For the outdoor portion of the event, people with CF should maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from each other.

Please note: People with CF and their families should be aware that individuals with CF might choose to attend Foundation events or meetings without notifying event organizers. We strongly discourage this; however, we cannot guarantee that only one person with CF will be present at any indoor Foundation event. For more information, please call your local chapter.
