About the Event:

28 Floors | 56 Flights | 1019 Steps
1 Reason: Cure Cystic Fibrosis

In addition to a registration fee participants have a minimum fundraising requirement of $100*

We challenge you... to go beyond ordinary expectations, to take steps toward a personal victory and to play an important role in the victory of others.

Join the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as we climb our way to the top of the Wells Fargo Capitol Center in downtown Raleigh. Once you reach the top, look out at the breathtaking panoramic views of downtown Raleigh.  Then enjoy a celebration with food, drinks, entertainment at the survivor’s party.

Will you step up to the challenge?

How to Register:

Climbers can either join a team or participate as an individual. Climb for fun or you can be timed. Teams come in all different forms: Public Safety (firefighters, police, military, and security), Health & Fitness, Family/Friends and Corporate. A team is defined as 3 or more climbers.

To register for the CF Climb click here, or contact Deanna Wilson at (919) 845-2155 or Toll Free (800) 822-9941.  Please make sure to have your credit card handy for your registration fee.

*A pledge is defined as a contribution made by others to support you in meeting or exceeding your pledge requirement and not for you to pay directly.

Registration fees are not tax deductible and do not count towards the fundraising minimum and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Your Minimum Pledge Requirement is tax deductible and must be turned in on or before event date.

If your minimum pledge requirement has not been met, you will have the option of providing a credit card or cash on event day. You will have one month after the event to submit the remaining balance before your credit card is charged.

TIP - When registering you will be asked to state your fundraising goal (which you can change later). You may select any of the amounts from the pull down menu that are ABOVE the climb's minimum fundraising goal. If the minimum fundraising goal is not an option in the pull down menu, you will need to select the shaded block that is immediately above the minimum amount - and then type in any other amount above the minimum.

Because of risks to people with cystic fibrosis, individuals with a confirmed positive sputum culture for Burkholderia cepacia complex shall not attend this event. This is because B. cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close proximity. B. cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness and, in some patients, may lead to death.

Despite this policy, there might still be some individuals with B. cepacia in attendance. B. cepacia is not a risk for otherwise healthy individuals. Learn more about alternative ways in which a person with B. cepacia can participate, or call the CF Foundation at (800) FIGHT-CF. Consult your CF care center physician with medical questions.

Important note on attendance for people with CF and their families:
The health and well-being of people with cystic fibrosis is our top priority. Medical evidence shows that certain bacteria can be passed between individuals who have CF and can lead to worse symptoms and speed decline in lung function. To limit the serious risk of cross-infection between people with CF, only one person with CF may be invited to attend the indoor portion of each CF Foundation-sponsored event.  For the outdoor portion of the event, people with CF should maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from each other.

Please note: People with CF and their families should be aware that individuals with CF might choose to attend Foundation events or meetings without notifying event organizers. We strongly discourage this; however, we cannot guarantee that only one person with CF will be present at any indoor Foundation event. For more information, please call your local chapter.
