About the Event:

Calling all cyclists!! For a unique bycycling experience, join us for the inaugural CF Cycle for Life.This event is a one day bike ride which includes a choice of two routes (30-35 & 65 miles). You can cycle as an individual or as a team of your friends, family and/or colleagues.

The ride begins and ends at Gregory Vineyards and passes through some of the most scenic country settings surrounded with a terrain filled with rolling hills, spring -fed lakes, picturesque farmland, cycle-friendly roads and growing skylines.

CF Cycle for Life offers not only beautiful cycling routes but a healthy challenge and good time for recreational and experienced riders. It is also a way to help the local community and the 30,000 children and young adults living with cystic fibrosis.

This premier cycling event is a fully supported ride and does not lack the essentials that you are accustom to on a bike tour. This ride is fully supported with well stocked rest stops every 8-12 miles, support and gear (SAG) vehicles, bike mechanics on-site medical services, plenty of tasty food, refreshing beverages, complimentary breakfast, entertainment and spirits at the pedal party.

Participants under the age of 18 are not permitted to participate in the Aptalis CF Cycle For Life^®. Bike helmets are required to ride.

Registration Fee Schedule:
1/01/13 – 4/30/13- $25
5/01/13 – 8/31/13- $35
9/01/13 – 10/5/13- $45

Pledge Minimum: $150
Minimum Pledge Requirement Policy: The minimum pledge requirement is due on or before event day. If you have met your minimum by the day of the event, we encourage you to keep fundraising. Reach for the stars and earn great prizes. Even though the minimum amount is due by the day of the event, you have one month after the event to earn a jersey or other cycle rewards. The average amount a participant raises is $650. Registration fees are non refundable and do not count towards your fundraising minimum. Fundraising is 100% tax deductible. Thank you for adding tomorrows for people with cystic fibrosis.

TIP - When registering you will be asked to state your fundraising goal (which you can change later). You may select any of the amounts from the pull down menu that are ABOVE the ride's minimum fundraising goal. If the minimum fundraising goal is not an option in the pull down menu, you will need to select the shaded block that is immediately above the minimum amount - and then type in any other amount above the minimum.

Because of risks to people with cystic fibrosis, individuals with a confirmed positive sputum culture for Burkholderia cepacia complex shall not attend this event. This is because B. cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close proximity. B. cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness and, in some patients, may lead to death.

Despite this policy, there might still be some individuals with B. cepacia in attendance. B. cepacia is not a risk for otherwise healthy individuals. Learn more about alternative ways in which a person with B. cepacia can participate, or call the CF Foundation at (800) FIGHT-CF. Consult your CF care center physician with medical questions.
