About the Event:

Join us for our 3rd annual Cystic Fibrosis Climb! The CF Climb is an exhilarating stair-climbing and fundraising event that raises awareness and money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. So gather your friends, co-workers and family for a one of a kind workout as you climb the 3865 stairs around Sports Authority Field! Whether you race up the stairs like a Denver Bronco or move at your own pace, it’s all for a great cause. After climbing all of those stairs join us for a celebration with food, drinks and entertainment at the Survivor’s party. It’s definitely an event that’s not to be missed!

So what are you waiting for? Lace up those old tennis shoes and come Climb for a Cure! Click the Register button now to get started.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life shortening, genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and young adults in the US. A defective gene causes the body to produce an abnormally thick, sticky substance in the lungs and digestive system that hinders the body's ability to breathe and absorb nutrients. Currently, there is no cure. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is aggressively pursuing a cure for CF by efficiently investing in cutting edge, life saving science.

How to Register:

Registration Fees:
January – March: $ 25
April – May: $ 35
June – Event Day: $ 45

Minimum Pledge Requirement: $150

Turn in your $150 fundraising minimum due on or before July 28 and earn a long-sleeved official event T-shirt. Raise $500 or more to earn an official event jersey and other great prizes!

*Registration fees are not tax deductible and do not count towards the fund-raising minimum and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Your Minimum Pledge Requirement is tax deductable and must be turned in on or before event date.

If your minimum pledge requirement has not been met, you will have the option of providing a credit card or cash on event day. You will have one month after the event to submit the remaining balance before your credit card is charged.

TIP - When registering you will be asked to state your fundraising goal (which you can change later). You may select any of the amounts from the pull down menu that are ABOVE the climb's minimum fundraising goal. If the minimum fundraising goal is not an option in the pull down menu, you will need to select the shaded block that is immediately above the minimum amount - and then type in any other amount above the minimum.

Because of risks to people with cystic fibrosis, individuals with a confirmed positive sputum culture for Burkholderia cepacia complex shall not attend this event. This is because B. cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close proximity. B. cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness and, in some patients, may lead to death.

Despite this policy, there might still be some individuals with B. cepacia in attendance. B. cepacia is not a risk for otherwise healthy individuals. Learn more about alternative ways in which a person with B. cepacia can participate, or call the CF Foundation at (800) FIGHT-CF. Consult your CF care center physician with medical questions.

Important note on attendance for people with CF and their families:
The health and well-being of people with cystic fibrosis is our top priority. Medical evidence shows that certain bacteria can be passed between individuals who have CF and can lead to worse symptoms and speed decline in lung function. To limit the serious risk of cross-infection between people with CF, only one person with CF may be invited to attend the indoor portion of each CF Foundation-sponsored event.  For the outdoor portion of the event, people with CF should maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from each other.

Please note: People with CF and their families should be aware that individuals with CF might choose to attend Foundation events or meetings without notifying event organizers. We strongly discourage this; however, we cannot guarantee that only one person with CF will be present at any indoor Foundation event. For more information, please call your local chapter.
