Event Highlights
Take the challenge and get ready to take an amazing journey through some of the most scenic terrain in lower Fairfield County; from historic Compo Beach to the beautiful views of colonial Connecticut. The sense of accomplishment that you'll feel as you cross the finish line can only be matched by the difference you'll be making in the lives of others.
CF Cycle for Life offers two routes, so cyclists of all levels are sure to enjoy this unique day of fitness, fun, and new friendships. No matter what route you choose you will have breathtaking views of Long Island Sound! Choose the 60 mile route to challenge your mind, body, and soul as you climb the roads along the Saugatuck Reservoir; or choose one of the shorter route for an event day that is sure to please.
This premier cycling event is a fully supported journey with stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, support and gear (SAG) vehicles, on-site medical services, hydration stations, smiling volunteers, a finish line festival featuring great food, beer, entertainment and much more. This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure in a tangible, emotional and powerful way.
Participants under the age of 18 are not permitted to participate in the Aptalis CF Cycle For Life®.
Helmets must be worn by all riders. You cannot ride in the event without a helmet.

How to Get Your Wheels In Motion:

Cycle for Life is a pledge-based fundraiser benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and its on-going mission to cure and control cystic fibrosis.
REGISTRATION FEE
$25 Now - September 7th
$35 September 7th – October 7th
Pledge Minimum is $150 |
The registration fee includes full route support at the CF Cycle for Life event including breakfast, lunch, snacks and hydration at our rest stops, SAG, medical support, entertainment, and more. All cyclists must meet the fundraising minimum of $150 in addition to the registration fee to participate and will receive a commemorative CF Cycle for Life T-shirt on the day of the event. All fundraising amounts are fully tax deductible. Raise more to qualify for exciting prizes of cycling apparel, accessories, and an opportunity to be recognized at the event. Registration fees are non-refundable and do not count towards the fundraising minimum.
If you have not reached the minimum pledge by the date of the event, you will be asked to provide the remaining balance at the time of check-in (cash, check, or credit cards accepted.) You may also elect to postpone payment for 4 weeks while you continue to fundraise to meet your goal. For this option, you must leave a valid credit card on file at time of check in.
Become a Team Leader when you register for Cycle for Life and invite all cyclists you know to join in to ride. Recognition will be given to the Team Leader that raises the most funds through all its riders as well as the largest team!
TIP - When registering you will be asked to state your fundraising goal (which you can change later). You may select any of the amounts from the pull down menu that are ABOVE the ride's minimum fundraising goal. If the minimum fundraising goal is not an option in the pull down menu, you will need to select the shaded block that is immediately above the minimum amount - and then type in any other amount above the minimum.

Because of risks to people with cystic fibrosis, individuals with a confirmed positive sputum culture for Burkholderia cepacia complex shall not attend this event. This is because B. cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close proximity. B. cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness and, in some patients, may lead to death.Despite this policy, there might still be some individuals with B. cepacia in attendance. B. cepacia is not a risk for otherwise healthy individuals. Learn more about alternative ways in which a person with B. cepacia can participate, or call the CF Foundation at (800) FIGHT-CF. Consult your CF care center physician with medical questions.
