The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Casino Chicago featuring the 6th Annual Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament presented by Horseshoe Casino was a terrific event and raised $300,000 for vital CF research.
On Saturday, April 24th at Chicago Union Station, over 600 guests enjoyed Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Texas Hold ‘Em Poker. The Grand Prize winner of the Poker Tournament, Tom Busby, won a seat in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, complete with round trip airfare for two on American Airlines and hotel stay courtesy of Harrah’s Entertainment.
The evening also featured cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, live piano by Mike Stoinsky of The Redhead Piano Bar, and a live and silent auction.
Sportscasting legend, Chet Coppock, emceed the evening and the host of Sports Central & Chicago Tribune Live, Dave Kaplan, served as celebrity auctioneer.
Other local celebrities to participate in the event were former Bears wide receiver, Glen Kozlowski, Carmen DeFalco, host of ESPN 1000 Afternoon Saloon, Chris DeLuca and Elliot Harris of the Chicago Sun Times, the Chicago Rush Dance Team and many more.
