This year’s Festiv-Ale: A Celebration of Beer presented by Goose Island Brewpub Wrigleyville successfully raised $40,000 for vital CF research and brought a whole new level of awareness to over 350 guests in attendance. With 12 vendors, over 30 different hand crafted high end beers, great food, an incredible live band, The Balance, and a silent auction with over 75 packages, this event was terrific from beginning to end.
The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Feldco’s Brewmaster and Brewmistress, Patrick Nugent and Erin Kearns, with Feldco’s President, Doug Cook, presiding over the coronation. Next, Diyanna Couet and Chad Lucci, YPLC members and CF Patients, took the stage and educated and moved a compelled audience with CF101 and Bid for a Cure. Not to be outdone, CF Dad, Mike Kolassa, took the stage and lead an exciting and successful Live Auction of a trip for two to Denver for the Great American Beer Festival.
