On Friday September 9, 2011 the Valero Energy Corporation gave a major gift in the amount of $50K to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Lone Star Chapter.
This gift, due to the fact that it came from a company in the oil and gas sector was able to take advantage of a 100% matching opportunity. The gift ended up being a $100K gift for research into finding a cure for cf.
Despite many economic uncertainties and challenges, there remain many generous partners like Valero who are committed to bringing about the day when “CF” will not mean cystic fibrosis, but instead, “Cure Found”. |
