In The Spotlight The Tiller family, James, Jessica and Garett at the 2011 Lone Star Chapter Gala purchased a live auction package that was a private catered BBQ dinner prepared and served by the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association. 25 guests, friends and family alike enjoyed the delicious fare and had a BLAST with the Fire Fighters. Garett, who has cf and is a precocious 5 years of age especially enjoyed wearing the fireman's helmet and seeing the fire engine up close. Nathan Alonso, Legislative Director of the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association remarked that, "in coooperation with the NB fire department helping people is always our priority and we are always interested in helping organizations like the CF Foundation to achieve their mission." He added that John Weige of the New Braunfels Fire Deprtment was hugely helpful in terms of making the event for the Tiller Family possible. Community partners like the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association and the New Braunfels Fire Department make all the difference for our CF families like the Tillers and so many across the community.
