The Audible's Drive for Cystic Fibrosis

On August 29, 2009, Footballguys.com will team up with The Fantasy Sports Channel on BlogTalkRadio to stream 12 continuous hours of live interactive radio to help raise money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  This will be the second time this year that The Fantasy Sports Channel will stream a talkathon event in support of the CFF.  The first time, in parnership with Paul Greco and Fantasypros911.com.

"There isn't a better time of year than now to bring the fantasy football community together to support something as serious as Cystic Fibrosis," said Cecil Lammey, co-host of Footballguys.com's, The Audible, one of iTunes' and The Fantasy Sports Channel's most popular sports shows. Lammey's co-host Sigmund Bloom continues, "We're truly thankful to have the support of Footballguys.com along with a service like BlogTalkRadio.com to give us the opportunity to stream a live talkathon that gives us the ability to reach out to the 20 million fantasy football enthusiasts around the world."

The 12-hour show begins at 12pm EST and is expected to feature guest hosts from The Fantasy Sports Channel, several major sports media personalities, and the possibility of some professional athletes stopping by throughout the day.  Catch The Audible's Drive for Cystic Fibrosis live at

Important note on attendance for people with CF and their families:
The health and well-being of people with cystic fibrosis is our top priority. Medical evidence shows that certain bacteria can be passed between individuals who have CF and can lead to worse symptoms and speed decline in lung function. To limit the serious risk of cross-infection between people with CF, only one person with CF may be invited to attend the indoor portion of each CF Foundation-sponsored event.  For the outdoor portion of the event, people with CF should maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from each other.

Please note: People with CF and their families should be aware that individuals with CF might choose to attend Foundation events or meetings without notifying event organizers. We strongly discourage this; however, we cannot guarantee that only one person with CF will be present at any indoor Foundation event. For more information, please call your local chapter.
