About the Event:
The 3rd Annual CF Stair Climb is a fun and challenging event where people will huff and puff their way up 50 floors (1,274 stairs) to the top of the Figueroa at Wilshire building (601 South Figueroa Street - Los Angeles, CA 90017). Whether climbing for a winning time or simply to cross the finish line, this event is a great way to challenge yourself. You can set your own challenge by racing to the top or climbing at your own pace, but more importantly you'll share play a vital role in the fight against cystic fibrosis. Once you reach the top, enjoy a celebration with food, drinks and entertainment. What a fun and healthy way to spend a Saturday morning!
How to Register:
October 31 to December 1, 2012: $50We ask climbers to raise a minimum of $100 to participate in the CF Climb. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation sets you up with a webpage to assist you with this by allowing you to send it to your friends and family for them to donate to your page.
With the help of volunteers like you, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is able to fund vital research and therapies for those affected by CF
Registration fees are not tax deductible and do not count towards the fund-raising minimum and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Your Minimum Pledge Requirement is tax deductible and must be turned in on or before event date.
If your minimum pledge requirement has not been met, you will have the option of providing a credit card, check or cash on event day. You will have one month after the event to submit the remaining balance before your credit card is charged.
TIP - When registering you will be asked to state your fundraising goal (which you can change later). You may select any of the amounts from the pull down menu that are ABOVE the ride's minimum fundraising goal. If the minimum fundraising goal is not an option in the pull down menu, you will need to select the shaded block that is immediately above the minimum amount - and then type in any other amount above the minimum.

Because of risks to people with cystic fibrosis, individuals with a confirmed positive sputum culture for Burkholderia cepacia complex shall not attend this event. This is because B. cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close proximity. B. cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness and, in some patients, may lead to death. Despite this policy, there might still be some individuals with B. cepacia in attendance. B. cepacia is not a risk for otherwise healthy individuals. Learn more about alternative ways in which a person with B. cepacia can participate, or call the CF Foundation at (800) FIGHT-CF. Consult your CF care center physician with medical questions.
