Team leaders and walkers joined together on April 4 at Peltier Park Pavilion for Great Strides Thibodaux. After checking in, participants enjoyed a lively performance and warm-up from Just Jazzin’ Dance Studio. They then took off for the 3-mile walk which proceeded through Nicholls’ campus and the surrounding neighborhood.
After the walk, participants had to opportunity to enjoy food from Copelands, Peppers Pizzeria, Gina’s Catering, Papa Johns, Cashio’s Catering and Caro’s Cake Shop. Entertainment was generously provided by The Americanos, an amazing band. A big thank you to Phi Mu Kappa Eta for volunteering at the event and to the Family and Consumer Sciences students from Nicholls for providing bake sale items and also putting together an outstanding Kid’s Corner filled with fun activities. Thank you as well to the NSSLHA for putting together an amazing raffle package and for helping at the walk.
