Planning for the 2009 Nantucket Slam, an official event of the Redbone Celebrity Tournament Series, we are looking forward to an even bigger I.G.F.A.-qualifier tournament from September 13 to September 15, 2009 in beautiful Nantucket, MA. This all-inclusive two day competitive fishing tournament is designed to please the recreational and avid angler alike. Anglers are invited with or without their own boats and will be supplied with all necessary tackle and equipment.
This catch and release tournament is two days of competitive fishing for Bluefish, Bonito, Striper and Albie. To accommodate various boat sizes and styles of fishing, three different categories are being offered: Fly, Spin/Plug, and Trolling/General. “The Slam”, the outstanding angling accomplishment of landing three of a designated species by one angler in the same day! For those of us in the Northeast this means a combination of Striped Bass, Bluefish, Atlantic Bonito, and/or False Albacore. Many places offer the ability to chase these fish, Nantucket is one of those rare special places where a Slam is attainable.
The Nantucket Slam, is not your every day catch-and-release fishing tournament. This is a fishing event where not only do our participants enjoy one of the greatest fishing locations around but also enjoy first-class all-inclusive accommodations, fantastic meals, refreshing beverages, amazing gift bag, and nightly social events.
