Jim Hartigan is Hilton's Volunteer of the Year!
Jim Hartigan serves as President of the Board of Directors for the CF Foundation, West TN Chapter, and previously served as chair of the Memphis GREAT STRIDES Walk. In his free time, Jim is Senior Vice President - Customer, Quality & Performance Support for Hilton Hotels Corporation.
Jim has a zeal for building business and brands through an unqualified commitment to the Hilton customer. Besides Hilton, Jim's global brand portfolio includes Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Waldorf-Astoria, Conrad and Doubletree Hotels. His group helps build business across some 2,900 hotels through quality assurance, guest assistance, research, team member recognition, and training.
Jim grew-up in the hotel industry, starting his career as a bellman while attending Ohio State University, which is where he met his wife, Karen. Jim and Karen live in Germantown, TN with their two children, Stephanie and Jimmy.
Though Jim does not have CF in his family, he has developed a deep admiration for families who deal with CF every day. He is a strong advocate for curing the disease, and he backs up his passion with his tireless volunteer efforts. Because of Jim's leadership, Hilton Hotels continues to be a major partner with the CF Foundation. According to Jim, "Participating in GREAT STRIDES has been fabulous for us at Hilton Hotels Corporation. GREAT STRIDES has become an annual teambuilding activity for many departments from our office. Everyone feels great supporting the fight to find a cure for CF-and it helps improve team member morale! We're doing the right thing because it's the right thing to do and having fun to boot!"
