Turner County's Celebrity Youth Charity Pheasant Hunt

Turner County's Celebrity Youth Charity Pheasant Hunt
LewDewitt JettWilliams JimEdBrown

This year's Turner County's Celebrity Youth Charity Pheasant Hunt is scheduled for November 7th, 2009, at 10:00 AM.  In addition, a concert will be held at the Parker High School Gymnasium, which starts at 7:30 PM.   Please join to help raise more than $12,000 for cystic fibrosis research.

This year's returning celebrities will be Jim Ed Brown.  He has the career distinction of topping the charts as a member of a trio, a duo, and as a solo artist. He also has one of the smoothest singing voices ever put on record.

Also returning is Jimmy Fortune. Fortune sang tenor for the Statler Brothers for 21 years. He joined them as a replacement for the ailing Lew DeWitt in the year 1982 and joined the group permanently when DeWitt was unable to return to the stage. Fortune wrote several songs that were recorded by the Statler Brothers and spent 21 years touring, singing, and performing with them until the other three members of the group retired in 2002.

We are also excited to announce, Jett Williams will be the third celebrity joining in on this cause.  Jett is the daughter of country music icon, Hank Williams, Sr. and Bobbie Jett, whose brief relationship with Hank Williams occurred between his two marriages.

Tickets for this concert are $20 for adults, and $10 for students. To participate in the Turner County's Celebrity Youth Charity Pheasant Hunt, or to buy tickets to the concert, please contact, Sherriff Byron Nogelmeier at 605-297-3225.
