Fifteen’s 5K race was started by Glen and Alisha Perkins as a way to give back to the community. Glen Perkins is a husband, father and proudly wears number 15 as a relief pitcher for the Minnesota Twins. The Fifteen’s 5K combines Alisha’s passion for running with Glen’s hometown baseball career with the Minnesota Gophers and now the Twins. The 5K race begins near the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome and ends at Target Field.

This year’s race will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation. Glen and Alisha have two family friends who have children with CF and have seen first hand the challenges they are overcoming to raise their children and work for a cure. The Perkins have been active in supporting CF Foundation events. This race is one more way to support finding a cure for Aidan and Landry and the many other adults and children who are living with CF.
