The Battle:

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is proud to announce the 3rd annual Checking for CF public safety-based hockey tournament to defeat cystic fibrosis (CF). Help us make “CF” stand for “Cure Found” by recruiting your colleagues and friends to compete to be the Checking for CF Champion.

The Details:

Checking for CF will take place March 2nd and 3rd at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN. The tournamanet consists of Police/Fire/EMS teams. Each team is guaranteed three games and will play a maximum of 6 games. Checking for CF is a pledge event - a minimum of $1,500 in pledges per team is required to participate.

Shots on Goal: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life shortening, genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and young adults in the U.S. A defective gene causes the body to produce an abnormally thick, sticky substance in the lungs and digestive system that hinders the body’s ability to breathe and absorb nutrients. Currently, there is no cure. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is aggressively pursuing a cure for CF by efficiently investing in cutting edge, life saving science.
