The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is launching its newest fund-raising program, CureFinders. This school-based program provides an excellent opportunity to promote awareness for cystic fibrosis (CF) and to raise valuable funds to help find a cure for this life-threatening genetic disease. The program benefits students by encouraging them to help other children and become involved in their community. This program offers a variety of activities that are not only great fun but educational too. Students who participate in CureFinders will raise valuable funds to support the vital research and care programs for the CF Foundation. Participants learn real-life lessons about volunteering, helping others and leadership. The CureFinders theme demonstrates to children that they can make a difference in the lives of people with CF!
Why participate in CureFinders?
- Students learn valuable lessons in leadership, reaching goals, teamwork, volunteering and helping others.
- CureFinders is fast, simple and easy to implement. There is no tallying individual donations or keeping track of information for prizes. From start to finish, it can be completed in as little as five days.
- The program is flexible enough to accommodate volunteers with different levels of commitment. Take complete charge of CureFinders at your school or rely on the CF Foundation’s support team to assist you.
- For high school volunteers, CureFinders is the perfect leadership experience to set students apart from their peers when applying to colleges.
- CureFinders activities can easily be integrated with K-12 curriculum with lessons in counting, biology, percentages, art, creative writing and more.
- Most importantly, the funds raised by CureFinders schools will go directly to fighting cystic fibrosis and providing the best possible care for the 30,000 children and adults living with CF.
