This year the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) plans to honor men and women across the Lehigh Valley. Those selected exemplify strong leadership qualities, are active in volunteer roles, and have excelled in their chosen profession. The Lehigh Valley's Finest campaign is designed to spotlight young leaders, honoring their professional and charitable accomplishments.
The Lehigh Valley's Finest campaign begins with an Honoree Meet and Greet that formally introduces the 2011 Finest Honorees and culminates with an Honoree recognition dinner in October. As part of their recognition, each Honoree agrees to raise $1,500 on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This lovely affair is expected to raise more than $30,000.
If you think you are one of Lehigh Valley's Finest or know someone who you think fits the criteria and is under 40, download and complete the nomination form (please see attachment) from this webpage and forward it to MSofronie@cff.org.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would like to thank the 2010 Foundation's Finest Honorees, Committees and volunteers for making our inaugural event a huge success!
Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of approximately 30,000 children and adults in the US. More than 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. The disease occurs in one of every 3,900 live births and about 1,000 new cases of CF are diagnosed each year. The median age of survival for a person with CF is nearly 37 years.
