Event Overview
Tailgate 2009 ~ Kickoff to a Cure, in its 5th year, will combine two of Gainesville’s favorite pastimes: food and football. With various companies, restaurants and families, the Saturday fun will offer guests the opportunity to tailgate with foods from local restaurants while cheering on the Florida Gators.
The Florida Gators will provide the entertainment from an away game via TVs in Touchdown Terrace. During the first half, many of the area’s favorite restaurants will entice football fans with an indoor tailgate of signature fare. While our team is strategizing during halftime, the fans will bid on fabulous live auction prizes. A silent auctionof artwork, sports memorabilia and great getaways will run throughout the day. The day will wind down with marvelous desserts and, hopefully, a big Gators’ win! |
