The Wine Opener is a national wine tasting series to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Held in more than 35 cities, from San Diego to Miami, The Wine Opener will reach an audience of thousands nationwide. Locally, the Akron Wine Opener will be held on April 3, 2009 at the Rosemont Country Club. The Akron Wine Opener will be a relaxed, yet lively, evening for more than 350 expected guests.

From wine novices to advanced wine enthusiasts, The Wine Opener is a casual and fun evening for all experience levels! SIP GREAT WINES poured by international and domestic wineries. SAVOR GREAT CUISINE presented at festive tasting stations, where the area's hottest chefs prepare their specialties just for you. Along with delicious food and wine pairings, guests will be treated to lively and diverse auctions and entertainment.

General ticket holders receive entrance into the event, all wine and food tastings, a keepsake tasting glass and a tasting journal (the event program).

VIP ticket holders receive all of the above plus a unique gift bag and a special pre-event wine tasting, lead by the wine supplier, and features special wines not available for tasting at the main event.
