Countdown to 2010 • Please join with others throughout the Palm Beaches by making a commitment to raise money for CF research before the end of the year.  The person raising the most will be recognized at the Countdown Cocktail Party in December.  • The goal for each individual is $1,000, but any amount raised will help us move forward and will be deeply appreciated by families facing CF each day.  • You can raise funds online by clicking the Register button on the right. After you create your profile, you will be set up with a Countdown to 2010 account. You can log in to your account through the "Countdown to 2010" Web page. After you log in, you will want to personalize your home page by using the Edit Home Page feature. You will be able to edit the text, as well as upload a picture. Once your home page is personalized, you can send the link to family, friends and business associates by clicking Invite Donors. Recipients will be able to donate directly to your account! You can also use the Letter Writing Widget to raise money by posting on Facebook, MySpace, blogs, etc. • A sample letter has been provided for you (click here to view). You can use this sample letter when editing your homepage, or when writing letters to friends, family and business associates. You can personalize it or create your own.  • It is an exciting time to be part of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Since the identification of the CF gene, effective therapies have been developed to improve the quality of life for thousands of young people with cystic fibrosis. • For the first time in history, results of clinical trials indicate that a drug has been identified that has the potential to fix the underlying genetic defect of cystic fibrosis (a faulty protein).  These drugs could add decades of life for people with the disease.  • Your participation in COUNTDOWN to 2010 will speed the progress of this life-saving research.
