About the Event:
Join us for the 2nd annual Finger Lakes Aptalis CF Cycle For Life®! The route begins and ends in historic Geneseo, NY (just 45 minutes from South Rochester) and offers beautiful views of the Finger Lake's rolling hills. The challenging 72 mile route will be a memorable ride through some of the most scenic roads in the Finger Lakes region, taking us through Groveland, past the shore of Honeoye Lake, returning to Geneseo through Livonia and Lakeville. Our shorter 31 mile option offers fewer hills but is still challenging and beautiful. Ride at your own pace - this event is not a race, but a day to enjoy the beautiful countryside and celebrate your efforts to improve the lives of people living with Cystic Fibrosis.
The ride is fully supported with well stocked rest stops, bike mechanics, ride marshals, prizes & a great lunch at the finish line at SUNY Geneseo.
There is a $200 fundraising minimum for participation in this event. We will provide you will all of the tools and support you need to make raising this minimum much easier than you think! In fact, most cyclists end up raising well above the fundraising minimum!
Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are also available. For more information about this event, please contact Jessica Regan at jregan@cff.org or (585) 797-3461.
Participants under the age of 18 are not permitted to participate in the Aptalis CF Cycle For Life®
Bike helmets are required to ride.

How to Get Your Wheels In Motion:
Registration fees are not tax deductible and do not count towards the fund-raising minimum and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Your Minimum Pledge Requirement is tax deductible and must be turned in on or before event date.If your minimum pledge requirement has not been met, you will have the option of providing a credit card or cash on event day. You will have one month after the event to submit the remaining balance before your credit card is charged.
TIP - When registering you will be asked to state your fundraising goal (which you can change later). You may select any of the amounts from the pull down menu that are ABOVE the ride's minimum fundraising goal. If the minimum fundraising goal is not an option in the pull down menu, you will need to select the shaded block that is immediately above the minimum amount - and then type in any other amount above the minimum.

Because of risks to people with cystic fibrosis, individuals with a confirmed positive sputum culture for Burkholderia cepacia complex shall not attend this event. This is because B. cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close proximity. B. cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness and, in some patients, may lead to death.Despite this policy, there might still be some individuals with B. cepacia in attendance. B. cepacia is not a risk for otherwise healthy individuals. Learn more about alternative ways in which a person with B. cepacia can participate, or call the CF Foundation at (800) FIGHT-CF. Consult your CF care center physician with medical questions.
