About the Event:

The Aptalis CFF Cycle for Life Bike Tour, benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, is a powerful, one-day event that brings hundreds of men and women together in an effort to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.  All rides begin and end at Mira Costa College in Cardiff-By-the-Sea.

We offer two courses for riders of all levels!  Take on our 32 mile "Sport Course" or ramp up your cycling with our 62 mile "Metric Course!"  Bring family and friends to our cheer on our riders as they begin their ride and as they return!  During and after the ride, lunch and festivities will be held for riders and their guests at Mira Costa College.

Participants under the age of 18 are not permitted to participate in the Aptalis CF Cycle For Life®. Bike helmets are required to ride.

Because of risks to people with cystic fibrosis, individuals with a confirmed positive sputum culture for Burkholderia cepacia complex shall not attend this event. This is because B. cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close proximity. B. cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness and, in some patients, may lead to death.

Despite this policy, there might still be some individuals with B. cepacia in attendance. B. cepacia is not a risk for otherwise healthy individuals. Learn more about alternative ways in which a person with B. cepacia can participate, or call the CF Foundation at (800) FIGHT-CF. Consult your CF care center physician with medical questions.
