STUDY BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
This study will look at the relationships between inflammation, infection, and lung structure and function over a 4 year period. Infants diagnosed with CF by newborn screening will receive annual measurements from birth to age of 4 years. This study will allow investigators to describe in the first years of life factors that may predict early onset of bronchiectasis. Tests include infant and preschool pulmonary function tests, chest CT scans, and bronchoscopies annually.
