STUDY BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
This study will seek to identify a defect in the airway fluid of patients with CF. It is thought that a component of airway fluid is not working that may be essential to killing bacteria in the airway. Such a discovery could lead to studies of other new CF therapies aimed at preventing airway infections.
