Sample phone script
Use this sample phone script to get started when you call your Member of Congress.
- “Hello, this is (name) from (town) and I would like to speak with your Health Legislative Assistant.”
- If you can only reach that person’s voice mail, definitely leave your message.
- Once connected say, “Hello, this is (name) from (town). I am calling to ask Congressman/woman (name) to support the fight against cystic fibrosis by joining the Congressional Cystic Fibrosis Caucus.”
- In just a few sentences, describe your personal connection to cystic fibrosis.
- “The Congressman/woman can join the Cystic Fibrosis Caucus by calling Congressman Ed Markey’s office at (202) 225-2836.”
- “Thank you so much for your time, and I appreciate your efforts for the cystic fibrosis community.”
