Bosses, managers, team members—anybody in the office can initiate company-wide or department-wide fund-raising activities to support cystic fibrosis research.
Do Your Own Corporate Fund-raiser
You can boost office morale while raising money in a variety of fun activities. Try these for starters:
-
Jeans for Genes – Let employees wear denim in exchange for a $5 donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The Foundation will provide you with the tools that you need: a participation packet with a sign-up sheet, collection envelope, fliers and Jeans for Genes Day stickers for all participants.
-
Bag of 20s – On payday Fridays, ask everyone in your office to write their name on a $20 bill and put it in the bag. At the end of the day, pull out one $20 bill and give the winner half of the money in the sack. (The other half goes toward your cystic fibrosis fund-raising campaign!)
-
Host a Lunch and Auction – Ask a vendor to donate the meal and invite co-workers, customers, vendors and business associates to attend your lunch in exchange for a contribution to the CF Foundation. At the lunch, consider increasing your revenue by hosting a raffle or holding an auction with items donated by staff members. Lunches are a great networking and teambuilding opportunity.
