My brother Jason was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when he was a baby (see picture). What bothered me most was the way the disease never allowed him to forget he had it. Each day he did his excercises, took his enzymes and lived with the realization that he would, unless a cure was found, succumb to CF at an early age--he died when he was 17 years old.
