Please join Brick Bodies as we take steps to cure cystic fibrosis at the 2009 Hunt Valley Great Strides, Sunday, May 17th at Hunt Valley Towne Center. This year is bittersweet, as we will remember with great sadness the loss in our community of Stacy Danko, mom to Molly and Bridget, and Paul, Jr., while celebrating her long struggle against this insidious disease. Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening, genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of tens of thousands of children and young adults in this country. Stacy bravely battled this disease for 44 years, and made a huge impact on all those she touched. She championed the great science that will one day cure cystic fibrosis, and was an advocate and sounding board for those who suffered alongside her. It’s important for Brick Bodies to participate as a group this year for Great Strides, to help honor her legacy. Come walk with us, and help secure donations for this important cause. No amount is too small.

GREAT STRIDES is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s nationwide walk-a-thon that raises money to support vital research toward a cure. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with fun and food from Wegmans, Panera and Caribou Coffee. Warm up with Lynne Brick, engage in our walk, led by the Outback Hummer, around the Centre and finish by the Fireplace Circle where you’ll enjoy lunch by Outback, California Pizza Kitchen and Chipotle, ice cream by Carvel and live entertainment by Marco’s Magic Shop, and even Batman! It’s a great morning for a great cause.
