Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know, Leslie is my boyfriend Russ’s sister. Although Leslie is not technically part of my family, I LOVE HER as if she is. With all of my relatives in St. Louis, I am proud to have Leslie in my daily life and affectionately refer to her as part of my “CALIFORNIA FAMILY”. :-)
Leslie is an AMAZING WOMAN who has BRAVELY FACED ENORMOUS HEALTH CHALLENGES throughout her life. She was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a genetic lung disease, when she was 5 years old. Leslie’s mother was told she probably would NOT LIVE TO SEE HER 7th BIRTHDAY.
With a life expectancy of only 37, Leslie's timeline shows how at almost 49 years old, she continues to not only ‘beat the odds’, but also is a living example of HOPE & INSPIRATION to others who have CF. The rising CF survival age proves that YOUR DONATIONS ARE SAVING LIVES!
