Sage is now six and really enjoying her School. She is in Littlewood multi-age class and loves having her own school friends (just like Aden). I am very happy to report that she is doing very well, she has been out of the hospital now for a year and a half which is amazing! Sage is good at doing all her treatments without too much complaining or whining, it is hard to stop playing for treatments sometimes. We are grateful for the loving community we have around to help us raise money in support of CF research. Sage is now learning to play her violin and doing quite well using the Suzuki method. She is also currently taking tap lessons. Like all kids she enjoys playing with her friends very much, and we like seeing her so happy and full of life.

There is also good news on the medication front. For the first time a medication has been developed approved that treats the root problem of CF and not just the symptoms. This drug is only for a gene mutation on a small part of the CF population but it proves it is possible and gives other research a starting point. Thanks for helping us support the CFF. Update: This drug is now was developed and is working wonders! Now testing for a drug that will a much larger part of the population is in phase III trails, and looks very promising.

Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fundraising event. This year, I'm walking in the Great Strides walk at the 2013 Gainesville - Albert Ray Massey Park walk on 04/27/2013. Please help me meet my fundraising goal of $2,000.00 by sponsoring me. Your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively, as nearly 90 cents of every dollar of Foundation revenue goes to support vital CF research, medical and education programs.
Making a donation is easy and secure! Just click the "Click to Donate" button on this page to go to make a donation that will be credited to my team. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated!
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. However, we continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. That's why your help is needed now more than ever to ensure that a cure is found sooner - rather than later. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with CF! Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation and Great Strides!
