Hi! Thank you for visiting my page!
I have taken on the challenge of participating in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Xtreme Hike event this September to support the mission of the Foundation. I would be so grateful for your help in raising funds for vital cystic fibrosis (CF) research, care and education programs.
The opportunity of this hike was brought to my attention by a very close family friend of ours, the Albright family. The Albright's have a daughter, Lauren, who has been living with CF for 21 years now. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts because it strives to find a better and healthier future for those faced with Cystic Fibrosis.
If you aren't very familiar, Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now -- more than ever -- to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit www.cff.org
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with CF. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit this page and for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation. I can't say enough about how much it means! Stay tuned for pictures of our training and hiking pictures as we attempt (emphasis on attempt) to become Xtreme Hikers!
