Dear Friends & Family,

This year I am using my single status to do something great and give back this year! I am participating as a bachelorette in the 2010 Guys and Dolls Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I want to introduce you to the reason why - I met Megan my sophomore year at UNC-Wilmington. She was the neighbor with a bubbly personality and infectious smile, but a member of the rival sorority. We were always friendly towards each other, giving a quick hello when passing by.

Little did I know that three years later, I would consider her a very dear friend and confidante. Little did I know, Megan was fighting a battle everyday. Little did I know, Megan has cystic fibrosis.

Megan never gives any inclination that she endures a daily regimen of different medication and treatments to help with the effects of cystic fibrosis. This does not stop her from having a successful career and life full of excitement and adventure. She is the most upbeat and positive person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Megan is such a motivated person. She has pushed through all of the obstacles that come with cystic fibrosis.

Megan has been such a great friend to me. I wanted to do something in honor of our friendship and to raise awareness about cystic fibrosis. Please help me to honor Megan by supporting me in my adventures as a bachelorette in the 2010 Guys and Dolls Ball.
