Hi everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my CF fundraising page!
As you may or may not know, I’m participating in the 10th Annual Guys and Dolls Auction event, which is to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year’s event will be held Saturday, February 20, 2010, beginning 6:30 p.m. (tickets are available for purchase through this site as well, simply click purchase). SAVE THE DATE!
First off, what is Cystic Fibrosis (CF)? CF is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that: 1) clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and 2) obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.
Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now-more than ever-to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit www.cff.org.
With all this said, this is where you come into play...I am personally responsible for fundraising $2,000 that will be invested in vital CF programs that support research, care and education. I need YOUR help in raising these funds. Donating is made easy by simply clicking the button below and following the directions. Remember, EVERY little bit helps!
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with Cystic Fibrosis. Thank you for supporting me and the mission of the CF Foundation!
