These are exciting times for cystic fibrosis research. Advancements in technology and the discovery of the cystic fibrosis gene in 1989 have created more opportunities to develop effective treatments.

To keep pace with the rapidly increasing opportunities in CF research, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation launched the Milestones to a Cure major gifts campaign.

The goal of the Milestones campaign is to raise $175 million by 2010 to build on the Foundation’s successful Therapeutics Development Program.

Filling the Pipeline of Progress

Milestones to a Cure will help make sure new cystic fibrosis therapies are developed as quickly as possible. The more therapies in the pipeline, the greater the chances of finding ones that will control and even cure the disease.

The campaign relies on major gifts from individuals, private foundations and corporations. Every gift brings us closer to achieving more medical milestones—and more personal milestones for those living with cystic fibrosis.
