The New York Times Features:  “A Brighter Outlook for Cystic Fibrosis Patients”

The New York Times online published a series of stories today on cystic fibrosis called "A Brighter Outlook for Cystic Fibrosis Patients." The series includes an expert Q&A with Dr. Preston Campbell, executive vice president for medical affairs of the CF Foundation.

“Cystic fibrosis is no longer a childhood disease,” one of the stories says. “The median age of survival is now over 37, thanks to novel therapies, specialized care centers and newborn screening programs.” The article continues: “Promising new drugs now being tested have the potential to make cystic fibrosis a controlled disease like asthma.”
