Corporations Support Great Strides
February 28, 2007
As volunteers across the country work hard to make Great Strides 2007 the most successful year yet, local and national corporations are signing up to partner with the Foundation and help raise money to advance critical cystic fibrosis science.
Joining the effort this year as a new National Corporate Partner is Gilead Sciences, a biopharmaceutical company based in California that is conducting CF research. After supporting Great Strides regionally in 2006, Gilead has stepped up its commitment to a national level in 2007.
“The Great Strides walks are a fun and rewarding way to give back to the cystic fibrosis community, as donated funds go toward research of new therapies and care programs for people living with CF,” said A. Bruce Montgomery, M.D., senior vice president, head of Respiratory Therapeutics at Gilead Sciences.
Outstanding Corporate Partner American Airlines®—known for its dependability in the sky—is again taking its commitment to the nation’s sidewalks and streets as it continues to provide tremendous support of Great Strides. In addition, the Foundation is grateful for the continued commitment of National Corporate Partners Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Airgas Puritan Medical and Foresters. Their support has been vital to the success of Great Strides.
The CF Foundation proudly thanks each of these corporations for their tremendous support to help add tomorrows every day to the lives of those with cystic fibrosis.
