More than 200 guests gathered at the Harley Davidson Museum in downtown Milwaukee for the 11th annual Breath of Life Gala in September. The black-tie event raised more than $140,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Wisconsin Chapter

Guests were treated to an exclusive after-hours tour of the museum. An exciting live auction also was a highlight of the evening. Items up for bid included a cocktail cruise, dinner for 10 at a local restaurant and a one-week vacation in Arizona.

Following the live auction, a Bid for a Cure video, featuring 3-year-old Emily Draxler, who has CF, was topped off with a special appearance by Emily and her father Gary. After watching Emily, guests were inspired to make "bid" donations to support CF research.

“Emily dreams of being a firefighter when she grows up,” said Draxler. “We’re here tonight so that Emily and all those with CF can live their dreams to the fullest.”

The Wisconsin Chapter – Milwaukee Office is grateful for the support of its dedicated volunteers Greg Myers, Mike Szohr and David Wiersdsma, and for the generosity of its corporate sponsors BMO Capital Markets and Quarles and Brady.
