The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – San Diego Chapter celebrated local heroes, families and volunteers at its 10th annual Well Healed Breath of Life Gala in September.

The 320 guests enjoyed an evening of fine dining, dancing and exciting auctions.  The formal affair raised a total of $300,000 for the CF Foundation.

It was a special night for Lauren Russell, 29, who celebrated the 10th anniversary of her lung transplant.

“Ten years ago, as I spoke at this gala, I could only dream that I would experience the joy of living for ten more years,” said Russell.  “My wish for the next ten is for all those with cystic fibrosis – a cure for this disease.”

The San Diego Chapter is thankful for the help of event chair Kristin Hoyt-Bailey, Kristin’s husband John Bailey, Guild President Barbara Fischbein, the Gala Committee, Guild Members and its corporate sponsors: A-Med, CJ Charles, Eli’s, Jimmy Choo, Marcoa, Modern Luxury/RIVIERA, Pacific Event Productions and St. Petersburg Vodka.
