Minnesotans Dine for a Cure

December 9, 2009

Emma and Natalie Feldkamp (front), and Naomi and Kendra Kyndberg make friends with a very special guest at the Minnesota/Dakotas Chapter’s 10th annual Wild Game Dinner.
When seven top chefs from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn., offer to cook dinner, you’re in for a premier culinary experience.

In October, more than 330 guests wined and dined on the city’s finest cuisine at the Wild Game Dinner to raise more than $110,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Minnesota/Dakotas Chapter

The culinary masters prepared a five-course meal featuring wild game and seafood selections, paired with beer and wine and finished with delectable desserts. Guests also enjoyed exciting silent and live auctions and a live band.

Anne Fairchild read a letter to her late husband, Had, who lived with CF until the age of 35.  “My daughters and I have a life-long family of support in the CF Foundation, and we will give back in any way we can,” said Fairchild. “You have taught me not to hide behind this disease, but to fight it with everything I’ve got.”

The Minnesota/Dakotas Chapter is grateful for the support of its volunteer committee: Jay Ettinger, Anne Fairchild, Dennis and Annette Forster, Chef Jim Kyndberg, Brent Karkula, Nikki and Travis Malnar, Jeff Manderfeld, Scott Mesenbring, Katy Mulvehill, Rob Olson, Kelly Rogers and Steve Sustacek.

And the Wild Game Dinner corporate sponsors: Minnesota Wild hockey team and WCCO Radio.

Finally, with compliments to the chefs:

  • Chef Paul Bergsbaken
  • Chef Josh Hill
  • Head Chef Jim Kyndberg
  • Chef Ryan Stechschulte
  • Chef Garth Thornton
  • Chef Christian Ticarro
