| | CF Foundation Chapters Celebrate Their ‘Finest’
August 2, 2010
Throughout the year, CF Foundation chapters across the nation host a variety of galas — from black-tie affairs to flip-flops on the beach — to celebrate the achievements of local community leaders and their contributions to the fight against CF.
Here are highlights from two recent “Finest” events.

Memphis’ Finest EveningOn June 19, the West Tennessee Chapter held its first Memphis’ Finest Evening event, honoring 26 of the “finest” young professionals in Memphis between the ages of 25 and 40.
Memphis Mayor A.C. Wharton greeted the event participants and helped recognize the night’s honorees.
Each young professional donated items for the live and silent auctions and each raised at least $2,500 for the CF Foundation.
Wharton congratulated the honorees on their commitments to their chosen professions and to the CF Foundation and challenged them to “use your leadership skills to uplift our community and make Memphis the ‘finest’ city in the country.”

The first annual Twin Cities 25 Finest honorees take the stage at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis after accepting their award. |
Twin Cities 25 Finest
On July 22, the Minnesota Chapter hosted its first Twin Cities 25 Finest celebration that recognized the area’s up-and-coming young professionals with proven achievements in their professions and their philanthropic endeavors.
“It was very gratifying to see so many enthusiastic, accomplished young professionals being honored for the TC25 event,” said chapter board member and CF dad K. Ogren. “Not only was the event a lot of fun and an opportunity to recognize the honorees for their accomplishments, but to know that these individuals will bring their drive and energy to the CF cause was heartwarming.”
Chapter board member and CF dad Tom Votel also spoke about the importance of young professionals following their passion in life to “get things done” both at work and as part of the greater community.
Held at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis, the event drew 150 guests and raised $40,000.
The Minnesota Chapter would like to thank the host and guest emcee for the evening:- Jason Matheson, entertainment reporter for FOX9 News and host of the Jason and Alexis Show on MyTalk 107.1 FM in the Twin Cities
