Event chair Andrew Hebert and his daughter and volunteer Joanie, 19, who has CF, pose before the Eurand CF Cycle for Life ride begins. |

A team of nearly 20 cyclists from MedAssets, a corporate sponsor of the Cycle for Life, were cheered on by employee Kirstin Brown and her daughter Kaellen, who has CF and is preparing to attend college in Maine this winter. |
December 1, 2010At the Atlanta area’s first Eurand CF Cycle for Life this November, more than 100 cyclists enjoyed the scenic country roads and dazzling fall colors of Peachtree City, Ga., and surrounding counties — with many others riding along in spirit as “virtual cyclists.”
After completing either 30-mile or 65-mile courses, cyclists celebrated raising more than $77,000 for the Georgia Chapter to support the CF Foundation’s vital programs.
While enjoying the post-ride chili luncheon, riders and their friends tested their knowledge of CF trivia questions and competed for a Concentrics Restaurants gift certificate.
“The ride was absolutely amazing this first year, as we had the full cooperation of the weather,” said event chair Andrew Hebert, who has four children, two of which have CF. “The beauty of the ride was stunning.”
