On May 19, nearly 1,500 wine and food lovers gathered in Los Angeles on the Warner Bros. Studio “Midwest Street” back lot for a night of dining, dancing and toasting to raise more than $1.1 million in support of the search for a cure for CF.

Named a “Top 10 Charity Wine Auction” by Wine Spectator, A Culinary Evening with the California Winemasters showcased 45 celebrated chefs and restaurateurs from across the country and 73 premier California winery owners and winemakers, all working together to provide exquisite food and wine and help advance the CF Foundation mission. Over the past 23 years, the event has raised nearly $25 million in total for the CF cause.

“Thanks to the incredible generosity of those who attended, the Foundation is able to support critical research and care programs that are helping people with CF live longer and healthier lives,” said Allen Balik, event founder and co-chair.

“All the elements came together — the weather, wines, food presentation and setting — to create the most enjoyable Winemasters ever,” added Barbara Balik, director of special giving for the Foundation’s Southern California Chapter – Los Angeles Office.
