Viña Montes Wines Launches “Angels in Action” to Support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

September 5, 2012

This September, wine lovers can enjoy fine bottles by Viña Montes, Chile’s leading premium wine producer, while also supporting the fight against cystic fibrosis. Through the “Angels in Action” fundraiser, Viña Montes and its  distributors will donate 10 percent of wholesale sales of every bottle sold in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C.

Guests enjoyed top-shelf wine by Viña Montes and tasty hors d'oeuvres at the “Angels in Action” campaign kick-off event in Los Angeles. All proceeds went to the CF Foundation.

The wine fundraiser runs through the end of September.

“We are very proud to be supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through ‘Angels in Action,’” says Aurelio Montes, winemaker and founding partner of Viña Montes. “It is an honor to work with the CF Foundation to raise funds to help people with this disease.”

To announce the campaign and kick off its fundraising efforts, Aurelio Montes hosted a ticketed wine tasting event in Los Angeles this June, with all proceeds donated to the CF Foundation.

Montes wines can be purchased at local fine wine shops and retailers in your area, as well as larger stores such as Costco and Total Wines & More.

The “Angels in Action” sales fundraiser is a joint effort with Viña Montes distributors including Titan Wine and Spirits, Reliable Churchill, Washington Wholesale, R & R Marketing, Capital Wine & Spirits, United Distributors and Premier Beverage Group.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is an accredited charity of the Better Business Bureau.
