$22m to Help Develop Drug for Cystic Fibrosis
An Aug. 13 article in The Boston Globe announced the CF Foundation's new biotech collaboration with FoldRx Pharmaceuticals. The story describes the Foundation's agreement to pay FoldRx $22 million over five years to discover and develop new compounds to treat the core defect in CF.
In 2007 alone, the story says, the Foundation has earmarked $48 million for drug research with biotech companies -- as it seeks to stock its drug pipeline with promising treatments for cystic fibrosis.
