Welcome!

Volunteers are the key to our success, and we encourage you to get involved! Whether you join a committee and help get sponsors for an event, recruit companies to put together walk teams or volunteer time in our office, you help us achieve our mission—curing and controlling cystic fibrosis. Take a moment to see what a difference you can make by supporting events throughout the year.

It's the Final Countdown to Great Strides Season!

I hope everyone had a GREAT Easter weekend - and are excited to enter the next fun season: Great Strides! Since we are only a few weeks away from our first walk in Fargo, I thought I would pump everyone up with the greatest rally song ever written: "Final Countdown," by 80's rock legends, Europe.

Final Countdown

It's a fact, that whenever this song is played, people get excited to push themselves to the limit. As evident by the song's popularity in sporting events, retro movies, and end-of-night-karaoke choices, this anthem will surely motivate everyone for Fundraising, Team Leader registration and walker recruitment right!?

While we are getting ready to reach our fundraising goals, I thought I would also share with you some unique ideas that current team leaders have come up with to raise money this year. And since imitation is the best form of flattery, I am sure that using any one of these in your own community would be just as fun and successful!

- Team Roses for Rylee are holding a bean bag tournament to raise funds toward their walk team!
- Team Abby's Army are planning a kick ball tournament, and already have nearly 10 teams signed up!
- Team Miles for Maria are selling "May Day Baskets" to classmates at school
- Dannika's Dream Team asked WW Tire stores across South Dakota to do a Pin Up campaign and they said "yes!"
- Team Brooklynn asked their employer to sponsor a golf tournament, and they said "yes!" - Team Reese asked their employer to do a "Jeans for Genes" day, and they said "yes!"

The point is, you'll never know unless you ask - and as the above examples show, the answer will usually be "yes!" And as we inch closer to the walk dates, you are so inspiring to everyone at the CF Foundation for your tenacity in making sure we ride the wave of fundraising momentum, that it makes us work THAT much harder too!

Best of Luck in the coming weeks on your fundraising efforts as we" finally countdown" to Great Strides 2012, and as always, please let me know how I can help make your fundraising efforts easier!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP IN MAKING "CF" STAND FOR "CURE FOUND!"

Cheers,

Patrick
