Welcome!

Volunteers are the key to our success, and we encourage you to get involved! Whether you join a committee and help get sponsors for an event, recruit companies to put together walk teams or volunteer time in our office, you help us achieve our mission—curing and controlling cystic fibrosis. Take a moment to see what a difference you can make by supporting events throughout the year.  Together, we can continue adding tomorrows every day to the lives of people with CF.

Most of our walks in have occurred and we are in the process of collecting outstanding money and attempting to achieve our commitment to research! On behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, thank you sincerely for all of your tremendous support. The food, the music and the weather were great, but seeing all of your smiling faces is what made the day successful…and of course all of your fund-raising efforts.

Even though most of the walks are completed, our fundraising continues!

We are increasingly confident that we are on the right path to cure this disease. Thanks to you and the generosity of our many volunteers and friends, the CF Foundation will continue to make new clinical discoveries that will enable us to better control—and ultimately cure—cystic fibrosis

In our latest newsletter, Bob Beall, President and CEO, sums up the excitement and hope that a cure is on the horizon by saying this:  "These past few months have been a time of great progress-and promise-for the CF Foundation. Recently, we achieved an extraordinary scientific milestone in our collaboration with Vertex Pharmaceuticals:  a potential therapy that improves the function of the faulty CFTR protein, the basic defect in cystic fibrosis...I can say with great confidence that I have never been more optimistic about the road we are on to develop new therapies that address the basic defect in CF."

It would be awesome to say that the Gateway Chapter is significantly impacting this exciting, life-changing research by adding $400,000 dollars to the pot.

The Gateway Chapter made a commitment this year of $400,000 through our Great Strides program. To date, we have raised $390,000. We urgently need to fulfill our Great Strides commitment toward science. Your support will set us well on our way to reaching our goal this year.
