Friends and family, As you know, I founded Shimmy-a-thon 4 years ago. Elana was in my tummy at the time and it seemed like a wonderful way to help a cause which is so important in our lives. The first Shimmy-a-thon was held on May 14th 2005 and Elana was born on the 26th. Shimmy-a-thon that year exceeded any goals for fundraising I had set. I originally thought raising $5K dollars for the cause was an amazing feat...and we brought in over $16K! I couldn't believe it. Each year since then the event has raised at least $15K for the cause. I am sooo proud of this event and it gave me an opportunity to help my sister and other families struggling with CF. Now, going on it's 4th year, it has outgrown my ability to manage it. A dear friend has taken over the daily running of the event, and I am FREE to SHIMMY!

This year not only have I signed up to shimmy away and help raise funds for CF, but ELANA will be Shimmying alongside me. She is soooo excited to help her Auntie Samantha and dance with all the big girls. Please help support us as we continue to support this cause. All donations go directly to the cause and over 90% of your donation goes to finding a cure. Not many charities can boast that kind of efficiency and can do as much good as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

If you are in the Atlanta area, we would love to have you come down and watch Elana shimmy. She will need all the cheering on she can get as she goes hip to hip with the other women to shimmy their coins off.
